Tuition Payment
Unlike other countries, Ireland requires you to pay at least €6,000 (or full tuition) before applying for the visa. This receipt is the most important document for your application.
Study Visa (Type D)
Apply online via AVATS. You must prove you have access to €10,000 in living funds. Processing times are typically 4-8 weeks.
IRP Registration
Upon arrival, you have 90 days to register with immigration (INIS) to get your Irish Residence Permit (IRP) card.
Stamp 1G (Post-Study)
After graduating, you can switch to Stamp 1G. Master's (Level 9) grads get 24 Months. Bachelor's (Level 8) grads get 12 Months. This allows you to work full-time.
