Offer & Payment

Pre-Visa

You must first secure an unconditional "Offer of Place" from a university. You must then pay your first year's tuition in full. The receipt is mandatory for the visa application.

Student Visa Application

Online (RealMe)

Apply online via RealMe (INZ 1012). You will need a chest X-ray (medical), police certificate, and proof of NZD $20,000 for living costs. Processing takes ~4-8 weeks.

Post-Study Work Visa

Open Work Rights

Upon graduating with a Master's (Level 9), you are eligible for a 3-Year Open Work Visa. You can work for any employer in New Zealand to gain relevant experience.

If you secure a job in a "Tier 1" Green List role (e.g., Engineering, IT, Health), you can apply for Straight to Residence immediately. No points system required.
