Certificate of Admission

University Side

After paying your tuition, the university issues the Certificate of Admission (standard) or a Visa Issuance Number (for specific regions). This is the key to unlock the D-2 Visa application.

D-2 Visa Application

Embassy/VFS

Apply at the Korean Embassy. You must show Proof of Funds (approx $20,000 USD). This money must be in a bank account under your name (or parents' with an affidavit).

ARC (Residence Card)

Critical In-Country

Upon arrival, you have 90 days to apply for your Alien Registration Card (ARC) at the Immigration Office. You must book an appointment via the HiKorea portal immediately.

Part-Time Work

After 6 Months

Generally, D-2 students must wait 6 Months before working part-time. You must then apply for "Permission for Part-Time Work" (Form S-3) via HiKorea.
